Ever wake up so incredibly happy you either want to cry, scream or dance? Today these were my Friday feels. The energy and joy filling my heart was insanely crazy! (that is the best description I got...). While looking out at the beautiful trees, hawks and sparrows this morning I was overcome with such a tremendous, over powering feeling of gratitude and peace. I got to work about 15 minutes later and as soon as I put the music up and started teaching my class the next beautiful emotion was pure happiness as I was dancing to Bobby Brown, while my clients were getting their workout on! The feeling can only be described as...PLEASE DO NOT EVER END! What rocks even more so is I can receive these "Friday Feels" any day of the week.
Any of us are also able to make this happen as well. The best way to begin is as soon as your alarm goes off in the a.m., SMILE! Next, before you hop out of bed, say a silent thank you, jump out of bed and fist pump someone else in your family, or heck just give yourself a fist pump! Honestly that is it.....Some of you are probably reading this and thinking, "You are whacked Miss Peace love child, rainbow, lollipop, rainbows and unicorn girl." If that was your reaction to my suggestion then that will be your first feel in the morning....YUCKO!
We all have the power; we just do not all have the belief or happy ass attitude! Some of us actually may enjoy being miserable and wake up first thing in the morning with a big ol' "UGH!" "I don't want to get out of bed, go to work, or deal with the day." Deal with the day? Stop trying to deal with it! Own it and make it the best day you possibly can! Maybe some of you have never even attempted once in this lifetime to try and make it a teeny weeny better. Why not? Does feeling joy and happiness scare you? Or do happy, joyful people annoy the crap out of you? Now dig deeper....(please just go with this). Why are you not allowing these emotions to enter your domain? Have you once, just once ever experienced a moment in your life where someone you love did something for you or you did something for them that brought you an overwhelming feeling of love or joy? Did you secretly hope for that feeling to remain for a while? Did you not want it to leave?
Avery asked me the other day if GOD was real. I did not answer her with a yes or no. I instead asked her those same questions I asked you above. Has someone done something for you, or have you helped someone out before and deep within your heart it all just felt so right, good and unbelievably cool? She said, "of course." I smiled and said those feelings or "tugs" on your heart strings is what some may call God, love, the universe, Oneness, nature or any other meaningful name that resonates with one. She looked at me and I think a little light bulb went off in her beautiful brain. I swear, growing up we were conditioned to believe that God is the dude standing on the highest cloud with a long white beard and can either accept you through the pearly white gates if you believe in him and treat others with kindness and compassion, or he can damn you to some make believe place called hell if you are a big ol' ASS! I was excited for Avery at that moment knowing the white bearded guy was erased from her beliefs.
Lets get back to your feels and if someday you want to wake up fist pumping and thanking this day or stay in your comfortable "UGH" and skeptical day mode. ITS A CHOICE! It is that simple......you create each of your moments. When I have this conversation with others, I repeatedly get the same responses......."Ya well, you don't have my life, my stress, my spouse, my boss, my sickness or whatever else they are using to make their own "feels". We need to put the blame stick down peeps. No one has the power to make you feel unworthy, upset, pissed, ugly, unconditioned or whatever it maybe you are feeling and holding others responsible for. Sure they may shoot their mouths off, lecture you or roll their eyes at something you say or do, but by allowing them to make you feel any of those things above, you just gave them the power.
Ever since we could walk, talk or understand someone else we have always had the power! The issue is from a young age of getting a beat down you relinquished the power......Isn't it time to regain it back? Please don't wait until it may be too late.....We all owe it not only to ourselves to regain our power, but to others as well. When you decide to take back your own super powers, think of how you can make a difference and give others their "Friday feel" backs as well! It is CONTAGIOUS!!!
Now wake up tomorrow morning and GET YOUR FEELS ON!!!!
